Excellent job with this.  I thought I was going to be limited with SP Foundation till I found your Solution.  Works great.

* One thing I've just noticed with the Navigation, is that I am unable to specify an external URL to my SharePoint site.

When I type in a URL, eg: www.google.com it displays an error: File Not Found.

It seems like the Navigation feature only allows URL Links from within the Site Collection Only.

Can someone please confirm or deny this error?

A couple more issues with Navigation:

Unable to delete the Menu Items.  Correlation Error.

When the Mund Publishing Feature is deactivated, the Menu Items are still there.

Where are the Menu Items located, so I can edit/remove them?

Hi ando3764,

Thank you for reporting the bug. We have done few changes in our solution.

  • Now the Delete operation is working fine.
  • You can add external URL to the Top navigation. check here
  • Regarding the issue of clearing the top navigation, When the top navigation contains the links to the pages created by Mund Publishing Infrastructure and you deactivate the feature, all those links will be removed automatically. That means Topmenu manages it's item by itself. It checks the linked pages are available or not, if not then it removes that item. This is not applicable for external links. If you want to edit those Menu Item after deactivating the Mund Publishing Infrastructure, you need to go to Top link bar of Look and Feel section of site settings.
